A FOD Prevention Area designated as ‘FOD Control’ is typically where assembly or modification processes occur.

This includes but is not limited to: Components or assemblies undergoing manufacturing or modification in the process of becoming a completed aircraft.

If you are involved in any form of FOD sensitive production or handling of FOD sensitive parts and assemblies, then it is highly likely that you will have to demonstrate FOD area designation as a minimum.
